Final Expense Carrier Cheat Sheet
Which carrier should I quote, how do I know which carrier to write when I’m working with my prospects? I am Matt McCray, agent and success coach here at FEXsuccess.com, thanks for watching our training today. Today we are gonna talk about how do I know which carrier I present or quote to my prospective client, to my lead and what we’ve done here is created a Final Expense Carrier Cheat Sheet, its called the which carrier do I use cheat sheet.
List out the carriers and a bunch of different questions all kinds of information across the top and then it tells you if they are going to qualify for that, whether if its gonna be level, standard, graded, modified, not gonna be eligible for that specific carrier based on health conditions, what kind of bank account they have, does the carrier have a height weight chart all that good stuff.
Final Expense Carrier Cheat Sheet was created 6 years ago
Now we we created this Final Expense Carrier Cheat Sheet chart probably about 6 years ago and we continued to make modifications. The most newest modification that we did make to it is across the bottom, what we’ve done, you can see that we’ve taken all of the height and weight charts with all of the carriers and we added them to this. So you no longer have to look up additional height/weight stuff the only other thing you may need to look up that’s not on this sheet is prescriptions. So if you have a list of the persons prescriptions then you would need to go to the reference guide for prescriptions, but this sheet should cover most of everything else. There may be some health conditions that may not be on here, we’ve only put the most popular health conditions on here, the ones we run into the most frequently so if you run into something that’s not on here, you should check the agent guide, make sure its not in there and look at the applications with the individual carriers, they should be asking all of the questions of the stuff they are looking for.
Final Expense Carrier Cheat Sheet works in almost every situation
So basically what all do we have on this sheet? We list out the carriers, we make note if they accept direct express or not and direct express is a form of a bank account that’s paid by social security there’s another video on that, issue ages for that carriers, the maximum face amount this carrier will allow you to write, the bill chart whether or not they have one if they do its on the sheet down on the bottom, then we go through things like insulin, A. fib, COPD, angina, neuropathy, TIA stroke, cancer, diabetes, bipolar, seizures, are they in a wheel chair? Different things like that are all going to be listed on this Final Expense Carrier Cheat Sheet. These are one of the tools you should have in your briefcase. And by utilizing this along with knowing your applications and knowing the underwriting guides you’re going to know which carrier to quote to each of your clients or prospective clients based on many times it comes down to what type of bank account they have, their height and weight; if their overweight you need to go with certain carriers, if their underweight you need to go with certain carriers, and based on their health so there’s a lot of things that go into this when your selling final expense, you just have to know your business, study your cheat sheet, study your agent guides, know your applications and if you prepare yourself as an agent and you get the knowledge that you need your gonna always know what carrier to quote with.
